Plant Overview

Established in the year 2003, Sunvik Steels is the first integrated Steel Plant in Tumkur District, Karnataka spread over an area of 60 acres. It is one of the very few Greenfield projects that was completed, and started production within a record time of less than 10 months. Having started production in 2004, Sunvik Steels today has a production capacity of 300,000 MT & installed capacity of 500,000 MT. Further as a forward integration expansion, an Induction Furnace of capacity 150,000 MT and a Re-rolling mill of capacity 150,000 MT (presently) was set up in 2005.

This phenomenal growth in record time of 4 years probably is the first ever in South India. Sunvik Steel is certified with Evcon Turbo Technology to produce TMT (415 grade) bars to mainly cater to the construction industries. The TMT bars with Sunvik TMT brand is ISI certified and has gained immense recognition for its quality and customer satisfaction, thus carving a niche for itself in the market without compromising on the eco-friendly environment.

As a socially responsible organization, in 2008 the company has invested more than 65 crores (USD 15 Million) to set up a waste heat recovery captive power plant (10 MW) which will reduce the Green House Gas Emissions.
